Enjoyed Karen Bell's first novel. Quick witted, contemporary and down to earth. There are many facets to Suze Hall's character that women can relate to....juggling family, work,friendship and long lost loves. I would highly recommend Walking with Elephants.
Walking with Elephants speaks directly to any woman who has loved, laughed, worked outside the home and raised a family. Reading this book gave me the feeling that I was catching up with a treasured friend over a cup of coffee. Karen Bell speaks from the heart to the heart and sums it all up in the book's essay,Walking With Elephants. Great read, perfect Christmas present for that special friend!
I loved this book and definitely connected with the main character Suze Hall. A woman who juggles family, career, husband is the modern woman. Many of us have been there and will identify with Suze Hall.
I found this book to be thought-provoking, witty, entertaining and a damn good read. A must for any working mother trying to do it all!
The title doesn't do this book justice. Forget about it. Maybe it could rather be called Madonna Moderna!
A fun read
This is a gift for my daughter in law. I have read it and did enjoy the story. I know she will too. Jo
I enjoyed the book,even tho it was ;not what I expected. I never did connece the title to anything. It took enough turns to keep it interesting.
New to female literature. The character kept me reading. The story Lingered a bit at times, but the main character was interesting. It was like I was in her head. Something appeared missing in the ending.
