I chuckled when I first read the book. What a fresh way to introduce qualities of kindness, caring, unselfishness, and compassion. It was nice to have a Santa story driven by love not by which list you might land on (naughty or nice). Of course some of the antics and actions of the little boy could land him on either list! But the young boy's love for his dog and his innate curiousity about Santa's sleigh make it a fun holiday read. To truly enjoy this book read it to a child. I read it to a kindergartner who laughed and asked questions about the main character. The intriguing and different story sent her back to reading the book by herself and then telling us all about it at dinner time. The toddler loved the story and pictures. Thanks Mr. Farmer for a great addition to our holiday books for children.Product details

A delightful read and exceptionally well written. This is a must have in any kids book collection. The story is appealing to all ages and has quite a unique take on Santa's sleigh which is equipped with a very special dashboard indeed. A story of love, caring and selflessness. The personal touch of illustrations done by the author himself make it all the more heartwarming.

I never really write reviews or read these books honestly. But as this is a rare book, many wouldn't know about - I thought i would write a review. I really liked this kids xmas book for my nephew. It has a good story, and with today's tech focused kids - think it gets there imagination going, as seems like Santa is pretty up to date with technology in the story. As with all good kids books, is a good lesson in there.
This is a must have for your child! A real classic! Farmer's illustrations add to the storyline and peak the interest of the reader throughout. While this book is great for all children it's certainly nice to see one that includes young boy's interest and imagination. You'll love reading this story to your child the night before Christmas and he'll love Farmer's twists and turns. Don't pass this one up!
